Rango movie watch online HD/DVD Quality

Rango 2011 Full movie download and watch online

Perhaps one of the more subversive animated efforts to unspool since Wall-E, Rango fearlessly rewrites fundamental parts of the American ethos by tackling the very genre that gave it shape: the western.

An ode to the wild frontier and the brave men (and some women) who ventured to the edge of civilization to make a new start, the western forms the spinal column of the American Dream. It’s where the very silhouette of a tall man in a stetson, stalking an abandoned Main Street, can trigger thoughts of heroism, justice and cool masculine restraint.

Rango gives us all this — and quite a lot more — in the form of a lizard.

Did you get that? A lizard, the reptile that uses camouflage, regrowable body parts and stealth to survive. Lizards are not lions. They are not symbols of pride, strength or honour. If anything, lizards tend to be synonymous with smarm, spinelessness and second-rate sinister behaviour (because we all know snakes rule the symbolic nest of evil).

Yet, this Gore Verbinski movie (Pirates of the Caribbean) features Johnny Depp voicing the role of a lizard, self-dubbed Rango. When we first meet our scaly-skinned protagonist, he’s getting ready for his close-up and offering lines from classic dramas. He’s also stuck in a terrarium alongside a plastic palm tree and a wind-up fish.

Rango is a pet-store purchase with no real concept of the outside world — until a fate-spurring encounter with an armadillo crossing the road causes Rango’s whole world to fragment, quite literally. The terrarium falls out of the station wagon, leaving Rango in the middle of the American frontier without a friend in the world, or a single clue about how to survive.

From his entirely artificial world, where he spent his days contriving dramas, Rango is violently re-immersed in the very reality that gave birth to his favourite pastime, where life and death are not grand scenes designed for Act V, but everyday sights.

A disturbing conversation with the run-over armadillo — who is rendered as the Don Quixote of the piece, complete with Man of La Mancha mutton chops and a Latin accent — reveals right off the bat just how ambitious and well-read this script really is. Couple that with Depp’s central character as a lizard in a Hunter S. Thompson-inspired Hawaiian shirt, and you also get a quick sense of the hipster tone.

What’s not immediately apparent is just what Rango’s role will be by the final scene, because Rango is a complete poseur. Charming, witty and attractive in his own reptilian way, our lizard turns out to be a complete fraud, who says things in order to win friends and make himself feel important.

Sure, he’s nice enough. But he’s void of truth, until circumstance forces the little lizard to be honest with himself and others, and redeem the trail of hurtful half-truths he blazed to be a somebody.

The core of the narrative is entirely classical, as it suggests one’s capacity to face the truth, and live with the consequences of one’s actions, is the true measure of human achievement.

Verbinski ensures these references are obvious, thanks to a Greek chorus of mariachi owls and the odd quote from Shakespeare. But that’s just the beginning of the homage parade.

Tipping its brim to every enduring piece of cinematic sagebrush, from Shane and True Grit to Clint Eastwood’s entire oeuvre, Rango relives stock scenes from the western catalogue.

At first, there’s nothing so subversive in that — until you realize that a small, vapid lizard with a penchant for gonzo journalism and B.S. stories has assumed the central podium and become the new American messiah.

The movie not only rewrites the western; it does so by carefully deconstructing the entire Hollywood tradition of artifice via the central character of Rango, played somewhat perfectly by a celebrity product of the very culture it mocks.

The layers are dense, and, at times, the movie feels a little sluggish and awkward as a result of wearing so many coats. There may even be a few moments of plain irritation, as the film references for cinephiles begin to push the kid-friendly dialogue into the background.

Chances are, very few people will absorb all the witty little allusions and showbiz in-jokes, but it doesn’t really matter. Even though this movie feels like it was created for the pleasure of its creators first, it still works — just as Roadrunner sketches still worked for the masses, even though they were largely created as wish-fulfillment prophecies for the studio animators desperate to blow stuff up.

Not surprisingly, Rango also pays homage to Roadrunner, because it, too, is part of this cultural tapestry of the west that Verbinksi and Depp pull apart, thread by thread, in this debut release from the newly minted animation wing of Industrial Light and Magic.

It’s a rich weave, and it’s very smart, but it may be too smart for its own good. Rango‘s central ideas will translate to the little ones, but it’s so self-conscious about being literate and hip, it could lose the casual viewer lacking encyclopedic film knowledge.

For those willing to ride the belly side of this subversive beast, there’s endless enjoyment in the execution and the animation itself. The movie looks gorgeous and the digital effects are remarkable, but for a movie that was looking to undo the buttons of convention by stripping the frontier ethos down to its long johns, Rango falls victim to its own ambition — and comes off feeling a little too contrived for a movie about truth.

Then again, if there were any film to completely understand the paradox of that last phrase, it’s this one, which is why Rango wins the duel at high noon — when the shadows disappear beneath us, and personal integration becomes possible through the ceremonial slaughter of Other.

Sex and Nutrition: Fuelling the Fire for Desire

Robert J Sternberg, professor of psychology and education at Yale University, was one of the first modern researchers to investigate and develop a model of love. After studying successful loving relationships, Sternberg put together a love triangle (no, not that kind of triangle). Sternberg’s love triangle represented ‘complete’ love and consisted of an equal sided triangle having a commitment side, an intimacy side and a passion side.

Sternberg described complete love as something we should all strive for – a love that encompassed a short term decision to love someone and a long term decision to maintain that loving relationship (commitment), closeness, sharing, communication and support (intimacy), and of course, physical arousal, the sexual aspect of any loving relationship (passion). A relationship in which one of these sides is very small or lacking may be, according to Sternberg, in danger, although our triangles are constantly changing in shape.

Think about your relationships. What would your triangle look like? If you’re like many people, the passion side is way to short. Oh, it’s not that you don’t try. You get home early so that you and your mate can have a little more time together, you help around the house so the chores are done earlier, etc. But chances are that one of you is going to be too tired.

You may have tried everything you could think of to add a bit more passion to your relationship, but by the time 10 o clock rolls around all your good intentions are forgotten – you realize that there’s nothing you want to do more than sleep. But you figure your relationship will survive. It just has to be this way for now. Or does it?

Did you consider that your nutrition may have something to do with the way you feel – at night or anytime? Nutrition related to sex? Of course. Just as nutrition is related to any aspect of physical performance.

What to Try

Here are a few ideas to help you become more passionate when it counts.

Protein for Carbs

As a bodybuilder, you probably are already focused on getting adequate protein intake, but here’s something else you should know. Protein will arouse you. Sure, you know that protein will jump your metabolic rate up just as a consequence of its difficult and complex digestion. Although that’s true, that’s not what I mean.

You see, our brain operates on signals that are transmitted by brain chemicals. Many of these brain chemicals are formed from amino acids (tyrosine, etc). So when we ingest a good amount of protein, these neurotransmitters are formed and brain function is stimulated – maybe just a bit, but it’s stimulated nonetheless (and most athletes will tell you that’s its noticeable). We feel more alert and ready for action.

Carbs, on the other hand, are sedative. A meal high in carbohydrates will make you drowsy – a consequence of a sharp rise in blood glucose, followed by a rapid decline. Clearly, one should eat both carbs and protein at an evening meal. However, you might want to try switching a bit more chicken for the extra helping of pasta. It just may help.

Calories, Carbs and Water

A diet that’s too low in calories, carbs or water will also affect a person’s emotional state. If you’re dieting, remember that calories are the last thing you should drop (the first is fat). Carbs are energy foods and a drastic reduction in calories and carbs will play havoc with your energy levels.

Water is your most critical nutrient. If you’re not replenishing your fluid stores after a workout, you’re just not going to feel muscularly ready for anything. All in all, a diet too low in these constituents will make a person grouchy and tired.

Watch the Fat

Fats depress your metabolism. They slow you down. A high fat diet can lead to the buildup of plague inside critical blood vessels and obstruct normal blood flow. Adequate blood flow to the genitals is an important aspect of the sexual response. For good sexual and overall health, limit your intake of fatty red meats, nuts and whole milk products.

Nutrition Stress Connection

Often a lack of libido can be traced to excessive stress. This may be remedied nutritionally. Ensure adequate intake of vitamins B1, B2, B3, and C – perhaps with a good supplement. Also, you may want to try a small glass of wine at night. Not only has light to moderate alcohol consumption been linked to good health, but this may just be the thing to loosen you up, reduce inhibitions and make you feel more amorous.

Boost Iron Intake

Some studies have linked iron intake to alertness. You may find that an iron supplement might help you if you are not a big meat or green vegetable eater. By drinking a glass of orange juice along with iron enriched foods, you’ll absorb more iron.

Chocolate?

Many anecdotal reports have suggested that chocolate has aphrodisiac qualities. Some researchers have suggested that chocolate stimulates endorphin release. Although this has not been substantiated, reports are so pervasive that it’s worth a try. Perhaps just as important as all the above is that you and your mate eat together and communicate. Getting in touch with the intimacy side of the triangle often makes the passion side much more meaningful.

What you eat affects your performance and how you feel. Don’t let poor nutrition ruin the passion in your relationship. Try some of the things outlined above. You’ll certainly feel more alive and be aroused. And that alone will go a long way to arousing your partner.

Aquarium Decoration

Aquarium Decoration Techniques

Aquarium decorations include natural things found outdoors or some flashy plastic stuff which will bring smile to your face or will irritate you.

In this article first of all I will try to give you an overview about the various aquarium decorations the types that you can choose from. After that I will venture on to discuss about the advantages and disadvantages of having manufactured decorations or is it better to choose organic decorations. After that I will conclude with some tips on aquarium decorations and also will offer you a list of online sources.

Aquarium Decorations: What are they?

Simply speaking aquarium decoration includes both natural organic things found in the outdoors and also manufactured things. Decorations can be used in both freshwater tanks as well as in saltwater tank. But if you are thinking that you are not bothered about fish tank decorations at all and will not go for those, you may consider the following points before taking the final decision:

* A lot of fish treat the so called decorations as their shelters from other aggressive fish.
* Live rock, although part of decorative items is essential for their service of natural bioorganic filtration.

Decorations for Freshwater Aquarium

If you have a   fresh water aquarium you can go with both organic decorations as well as manufactured ones. The following is a list for you to consider:

* Manufactured decorations items:

Fake plants which can be either plastic or silk
Fake rocks which can be either plastic or ceramic
Fake wood

Advantage and disadvantage of manufactured decorations

* Manufactured decorations are long lasting.
* It is easier to clean manufactured decorations compared to living ones.
* When you have manufactured or fake decorations then you do not need to take extra care for those. So you can concentrate on caring for your fish alone.
* In fake decorations you are given a wide variety to choose from.
* Fake decorations look beautiful and can increase the show of a fish tank.

Disadvantages:

* Fake decorations may look cheap.
* In some instances fake decorations can be more expensive then the living ones.

Organic (dead) Decorations:

Driftwood
Real rocks
Substrates including gravel, beach sand coral sand

Advantages and disadvantages of Organic decorations

Advantages:
* Organic (dead) decorations look more realistic and classy.

Disadvantages:
* Organic decorations have the potential to affect your aquarium in some minor ways. For example in some cases driftwood can lead to acidity in water.  Although it is not a problem in the strictest terms but it should be monitored. Moreover, never ever put driftwood in saltwater tank.

* Before putting living rocks you must ensure first that they are ok for your tank. Some rocks are harmful for freshwater tanks and some are unsuitable for saltwater. Like limestone can increase the pH level of the tank.
* Carefully see and ensure that there are no sharp edges in your decorations which can be harmful for your fish.

* Organic (living) Decorations: Live plants

Advantages and disadvantages of Organic Decorations (Living)

Advantages:

* Living organic decorations have a very realistic look and they can enhance the beauty of any tank.

Disadvantages:

* Having living organic decorations may prove to be an expensive affair. They also require much care and attention.

* Aquarium fish may eat them!

* You may not find a   great variety to choose from in regards to color and shape which is not the case with manufactured decorations.

Tubing Set
Kenko DG AF Macro Extension Tube Set or EBAY unbranded Extension Tube?

Please tell me which one is good for my canon 40D.
does it do the same job or Kenko is the best?

Thanks

A lot of the very cheap (10-30 dollar) ebay extension tubes are VERY poor build quality, and I would not suggest getting them. Kenkos really are the best, I’ve had my set for about 5 years now, and I’d say they’re worth the money.

Ornament Gifts
Very nice homemade gifts for adults?

This year for Christmas, my family has decided to draw names and make homemade gifts for each other. I drew my mother, and have no idea what to make her. I want something nice, not a corny ornament, potholder or anything like that. Any ideas will be helpful! Thanks in advance!

If it’s for your mom then this gift basket will be perfect. And some of the stuff that goes in is handmade as well, plus you don’t realy need to be an expert. There are instructions for everything. I think she (or any female recepient, teen and up) would appreciate something like this.
I hope you have use of this, its an article I wrote myself and have used on quite a few of my friends and fam. They always love it :)

Aquarium Snails
What do I feed my aquarium snails?

Okay I don’t have any algae wafers or brine shrimp or any fish food at all. I’ve been given 2 aquarium snails that are very hungry. They are alone in a 5 gallon tank with no other plants or fish. So they have nothing to feed on, no algae as the tank is newly set up and clean. What can I feed them? Any food commonly found in the kitchen? (Lettuce, etc.) Please help, they are hungry :(

The diet of the aquarium snail depends on its species; some eat plants while others prefer fish food and decaying debris that has sunk to the bottom. Many also prefer a diet of algae, which is why certain snails can be beneficial to aquariums as they help maintain water quality.
Please mark as best answer if it helps!

Live Coral

Coral Calcium And The Effects On The Environment Of Its

There are two sources of Okinawa coral calcium. Above sea coral calcium, which is mined above sea level and below sea coral calcium, which is also called “marine grade” coral calcium. Below sea coral calcium is vacuumed from the ocean bottom near the Coral reefs. Which is best, Above-Sea Coral Calcium or Below-Sea Coral Calcium? The fossilized coral suppliers claim that theirs is in aragonite form which is more soluble than the marine variety which is heat treated and becomes a calcite form of crystal. This has been verified in a Japanese laboratory. The discoverer of Coral Calcium was Dr. Robert barefoot. His belief was that the reason why the Okinawans from Japan lived longer was that their drinking water was rich in coral reef substances surrounding their area. He further said that it would neutralize the toxic acidity of the body as coral calcium is alkaline based.

A little foray to Okinawa last summer unearthed another matter of concern regarding “marine” coral calcium – that is the purity of a product that involves vacuuming the ocean floor. We obtained raw marine coral product samples which have a high sand content. This is not all bad as sand is not toxic or harmful. It is just not a pure coral product. These impurities are likely the reason marine coral calcium has lower calcium content than fossilized coral. Some people also favor the fossilized form on ethical grounds – because the marine vacuuming process can be damaging to the coral environment. Although we would take “marine” coral if it were the only type available, we favor fossilized coral for reasons noted above. Both forms of Okinawa coral are long dead so much of their mineral content is depleted relative to live coral which has recently been introduced.Coral Calcium and the Effects on the Environment For years, coral calcium web sites have been claiming that they do not harm the environment when harvesting their coral. Taking a closer look at the harvesting processes that are used tell a different story about the effects of coral calcium on the environment. Now more than ever, the coral reefs of Okinawa Japan are endangered and need all the help we can provide.

Marine Coral Calcium Many companies sell marine coral calcium that they say is “only the dead coral debris vacuumed up from around the reefs.” Unfortunately for the environment this dredging process includes a 250 foot industrial dredging ship lowering a large pipe to the bottom of the ocean and vacuuming. This method not only takes the dead coral debris but destroys the reef eco system by generating a thick layer of silt which smothers the reef killing the coral larvae that grow future reefs in the surrounding areas.

Phosphate Filter

Discover the Benefits of Using Whole House Water Filter

Where the tap water we use does come from for our household needs?

Mostly from two natural resources: surface water, such as ponds, lakes, rivers, creeks and streams, and ground water that is extracted by means of a well. But regardless of the original source tap water unfortunately is not at all safe to drink.

It contains numerous impurities that can be harmful to your health.

Heavy metals, such as cooper, iron, lead, fluoride, radon can occur naturally. Some substances can contaminate ground water leaching through the soil or from the plumbing pipes. Among those very dangerous contaminants are fertilizers, asbestos, cyanides, pesticides and numerous industrial chemicals. To kill bacteria and to adjust PH some substances, such as chlorine, carbon, lime, soda ash, phosphates and aluminum sulfate are added intentionally.

But even with these actions taken the water still could be contaminated with viruses, bacteria and parasites.

One of the America’s leading authorities on water contamination, Dr. David Ozonoff of the Boston University School of Public Health states, “The risk of disease associated with public drinking water has passed from the theoretical to real”.

There is only one possible way of removing all undesirable substances right at the “point of entry”. It is to use one of the best filters offered on the market – the whole house water filter.

Only whole house water filter can remove contaminants that potentially hazardous to your health along with hundreds chemicals that can cause “rotten-egg” smell of the water.

Whole house water filter can remove bad smell and taste of the water that comes from a lake or reservoir and is polluted by algae.

The biggest problem of the tap water we use in our household is huge amount of chlorine that is intentionally added in public water supplies to kill bacteria, adjust PH and eliminate cloudiness.

Chlorine is incredibly harmful for your skin and hair, because it kills cells and attacks the oil that retains moisture.

Washing clothes in chlorinated water fades color and is damaging to fabric.

But most hazardous is chlorinated gas that evaporates from hot water when you take a shower. This gas is one of the most common sources of indoor air pollution in many households.

Studies show that most American homes have higher level of chloroform gas caused by chlorine evaporation from treated water. Chlorine gas is released into the air every time you shower, bathe, flush the toilet or wash your clothes with chlorinated water.

This is very dangerous for kids, asthma suffers and people with weak immune system.

Only whole house water filter can give you chlorine free water in tap, bath and shower. Chlorine free showers will leave your skin softer, and more hydrated thus younger-looking and suppler. Your hair will be silky smooth and hair color will last longer.

Fresh and clean laundry free of chlorine will not ruin your clothes.

You will have better tasting water at every tap in your house. Using whole house water filter will guarantees that the air in your home will be much cleaner and healthier.

Using whole house water filter will prevent your major appliances from rust, caused by iron present in the unfiltered water. Iron can also stain fixtures, such as sinks, showers, toilets etc. In the iron rich water certain bacteria that thrive in hot water heaters produces hydrogen sulfide the source of “rotten-egg” smell.

So, it is imperative to clean and purify water, used in your household by the means of whole house water filter.

Automatic Aquarium
I have 2 pet finches and will be on vacation for 30 days; is there an automatic feeder for caged birds?

I don’t know if there is such a thing as an automatic feeder for caged birds, but since I have one for my aquarium, I thought someone might be able to help. I would much appreciate it.

You could try your local pet store. Most of the ones I go to will bird sit for a fee. Maybe a friend who isn’t afraid of birds, wouldn’t mind bird sitting. My mom and best friend, are both wonderful when I plan a vacation, one or the other will offer to take them. Good luck!

Plant Tank

Fish tank

Fish tank is also known as aquarium fish tank for keeping ornamental fishes. Fish tanks were once all made of glass but now Acrylic tanks are also becoming more commonplace. Fish tanks are the glass or strong Plexiglas boxes or rectangles that you use to create your aquarium habitat for fish. Fish tanks are loved by all, and the thought of growing and maintaining a system of living, breathing beings is more than a hobby, it is a life. Many people say that Fish tanks are expressions of their owner’s personal style or of the style of the room or home in which they reside.  Fish tanks are a wonderful place to observe a habitat on a smaller scale. Maintaining a is not a difficult task, but it requires time and consistency. Fish tank setup is well known as an interesting hobby if you know how to care for the aquarium.

Saltwater aquarium known as well as marine aquarium, this type of tank is more expensive and more demanding then a freshwater aquarium but with a little help and with the right guide you can setup your own saltwater tank, I believe that if you have the suitable equipment it will help you to avoid future problems.

A reef aquarium or reef tank is an aquarium containing live corals and other animals associated with coral reefs. Unlike the marine aquarium, the main purpose of which is to house various types of fish, the true stars of the reef tank are the coral and other invertebrates. Reef tanks are usually kept at a temperature between 25 and 27 °C (75-80 ºF). Reef tanks can be beautiful and exotic and for soma a piece of nature. The primary filtration for reef aquariums usually comes from the use of large amounts of live rocks which come from various rubble zones around existing reefs. Researchers are finding that saltwater fish aquariums have therapeutic health benefits. The tanks are usually constructed from either glass or acrylic. With advances in modern aquariums it’s recently became possible to have a piece of coral reef at home and enjoy it in the privacy of your living room.

Freshwater fish tank or tropical Fish tank is an aquarium containing fish, plants, deco, rocks, and woods depending on what you want to keep in your tank. The most common freshwater fish tanks are plant tanks, cichlid tanks and community tanks. The tanks are usually constructed from either glass or acrylic. In order to keep a healthy tank it should be maintain on a weekly basis.

Tank Aquarium
can I use a reptile tank as an aquarium for my fish?

i have a 55 gl tank for reptiles but i want to use it as an aquarium for my fish, would that be okay? is the glass strong enough to hold all the water?
is it all the same thing, a tank is a tank?

They are absolutely not always the same thing. Depends where you got it. If you got it from a good reputable dealer yes it will be the same as a fish tank. The most important thing to check is thickness of the glass, and the quality/thickness of the sealant used. Compare it to a “real” aquarium, and if it’s looks about the same it will suffice.
BIG TIP, put a few inches of water in it and leave it for a while to see if it has any leaks before using it as an aquarium, especially if it’s already been used as a reptile tank.

Coral Zoanthid
What lighting should I use for my zoas & mushrooms?

I’m looking for some good lighting for a 10g tank (20″ long) that will support mushroom and zoanthid corals. I have a budget of $100 total. I’ve tried my hand at finding something, but I’m inexperienced and don’t know much about what I need. Could someone please either post a link to a product that you think would fill my requirements? Or tell me what specifications I need? Or where I could look? Thanks!

you aren’t going to find any real descent lighting for that price range, unless you go used, or find some amazing sale.
for that tank, T5′s should work(10,000K and Actinic).most major petstores will carry these, and certainly any salt water speciality store.

do you already have these inverts?? if you do, i would see if your LFS can house thme for you under correct lighting, until you get your lights set up and running, even a couple of days with no lighting, or incorrect lighting can do some serious damage to them.

Fish keeping: Filters and filter maintenance

If you are an experienced fish keeper you more than likely have had your fair share of problems with filters of all kinds including box filters ,power filters ,hang-on filters etc.

Honestly after probably 25 years of experience ,I can tell you that I prefer hang-on filters purely because they cause minimal disruption to the ornaments and inhabitants of your tank when you are doing maintenance ie. cleaning the filter media(sponges etc.)In addition to this ,the best I have ever used(in my opinion) is ” target=”_blank” title=”Aqualear”>Aquaclear by Hagen. Of course ,by saying this I do not wish to detract from the value of market leaders like Eheim and Fluval .Be careful when you buy a filter because often pet shop owners will try to palm a “cheap” but “very reliable” Chinese product onto you. Now don’t get me wrong ,there might well be a Chinese filter that is a quality product but I have not found one yet .

In my experience I have maltreated Aqualclear Filters over and over again and they hardly ever break down .I can never understand why pet shop owners don’t rather stock this product!!! Sorry…, there I go ranting again!!

When you choose a filter it is a good idea if you buy a filter that does a combination of mechanical, biological and chemical filtration .The Aquaclear is a biological filter with a semblance of mechanical filtration. For a chemical filter you could build in a sump filter or buy a larger canister filter although small tanks as well as any size tank which are well planted will not need as much filtration. Usually you could get by with the Aquaclear(hang-on filter) on it’s own.

Now to those of you who are beginners I have been unfair because I have not explained the difference between the different types of filtration yet !!So here goes…!

Mechanical: removal of suspended particles of matter from the water.(Often these are organic particles and they are a threat to the well being of the inhabitants of the tank if they stay in the water too long as they begin to rot and give off poisens such as nitrites and ammonia .The nitrites break down into nitrates which are slightly less harmful to fish but should also be monitored before the levels get dangerous.

Biological:  These filters employ the use of beneficial bacteria which inhabit a large surface area eg. around each particle of sand .These beneficial bacteria consume the waste bi-products produced by the inhabitants of the tank. What is interesting about this phenomenon is that there are companies that produce beneficial bacteria in a bottle ready for you to add to your water! This is very useful because these products help with “new tank syndrome” and can also be added any time to assist with waste disposal ,I have a sump filter and I have seen the results in my filter wool not two days later ,trust me…it works!

Chemical: filtration is slightly more involved than the other two types of filtration I have mentioned above. The reason I say this is because the toxins in the water are removed chemically by running the water over and through certain resins and other substances.

Zeolite: is used for removing ammonia.

Charcoal(Carbon):Charcoal is also used although I do not know what the reason is except for the fact that it has a clarifying effect on the water and it has the effect of hardening the water.

Resin: I honestly do not know how many resins are on the market but what they do is they remove nitrites, nitrates ,ammonia and phosphates from the water(Phosphates are responsible for algae growth). The resin that I useremovesall of these toxins.

Fish Chemicals

Looking Into A Filtration System For Your Fish Tank

Filtration systems are essential in aquarium and fish care. Filtration systems strain out chemicals, and pollutions, which the filtration process passes through, or puts the chemicals and contaminants in a filter. The filters are then cleaned or replaced by human hands.

Mechanical filtration

Mechanical filtration physically works to trap particles of grime, which are suspended in matters throughout water. The particles are suspended and are incapable of passing through fibres or pores of a filtration medium. Mechanical filtration systems take care of the problem by removing the particles from the tank. At this point, the human hand must clean or replace the filters. Mechanical filtration includes the polyester fibers, which come in a variety of packages. The polyester mechanical filtration systems typically include pads, fluffs, woven, pressed fibers, and so on. The accessories enable the mechanical filtration to act as a cleanser and/or replacement by trapping larger dirt particles. Mechanical filtration also includes foam accessories. The foam sponges are blocking aids that infuse water, thus suspending the water into matters.

In addition to the mechanical filtration systems, you have the choice of chemical filtration. Chemical filtration relates to the science of molecules, in that the filters are logically organized into simpler counterparts. Activated charcoal is one of the most commonly used chemical filtration systems. The chemical filtration system will remove a large volume of pollutants. Absorbance through the activated charcoal process traps the smallest physically possible units of chemicals. In addition to the charcoal brands is the carbon filtration. Carbon filtration is one of the most liked filters used in homes, fish tanks, etc. The filters will remove a large volume of contaminants, as well as deliver clear waters. Most people purchased a carbon filtration combined with the mechanical filtrations. However, the modern mechanical filtration systems integrate the carbon filters into its device. It is recommended however that you do not rely on carbon filters to maintain your tank. You still must uphold your responsibility.

Biological filtration

Biological filtration is the single most important filtering system you will need to maintain aquarium and fish care. Biological filtration, also called biofiltration will remove unnatural and natural particles from tank water that is left unnoticed by the human eye, carbon filtration, and mechanical filtration. The filtration system will replace removed particles when finished. Biofiltration is difficult to understand, since fish make up biological filtration, which remove and replace microscopic pores and contaminants in a bio-medium environment. Fish rely on biochemical filtration. The Biofiltration systems will remove unwarranted nitrates, ammonia, bacteria, nitrates, etc. Bacteria is removed, yet replaced with nitrites, i.e. a healthy volume of nitrites. NOTE: Fish produce naturally, both ammonia and nitrates, which is non-toxic to the fish, yet toxic to non-fish.

Mechanical, chemical, and biofiltration include the internal, external, and under-gravel systems. You want to learn more about each system. The under-gravel system is one of the least desired, yet it works wonders with the internal and external filtration systems. The external filtration systems are the choice systems, since many today combine mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration systems respectively.

Filtration is essential in aquarium and fish care, since unfriendly waters produce bad fruits. For instance, if fish do not live in desired waters, it can affect their oxygen intake. In fact, chemical saturated waters can eliminate oxygen flow. The fish will die and your tank will stink. Therefore, learn more about filtration systems, how they work. As well, learn which systems are recommended. You can go online to view a variety of filtration systems, yet we recommend you consult with pet stores to make the right choice. You can find additional help online.

Koi Pond & Waterfall: Top 21 Most Asked Questions Answered

Q What is the ideal depth for a koi pond?

A In my experience of 30 years, 4 to 5 feet is ideal. You need a minimum of 3 feet for koi fish for several reasons. Safety for fish from wading cranes they can not wade in 3 feet of water. Plus the water temperature in shallow ponds fluctuates too much with the changes in ambient temperature. The greater the volume of water, the longer it takes for the temperature to change. Warm water or fluctuating temperatures are unhealthy for fish.

Q What is the ideal size for a pond?

A The ideal size would be determined by the size of your yard. Its size should be proportional to the size of the yard. Also, the larger the pond, the greater the maintenance.

Q What is your opinion on using a liner to construct a pond rather than using a hard molded or concrete one.

A My recommendation is and always has been to use concrete. However, if you are on a tight budget or do not plan on living there for an extended period time, a liner would be recommended. In this case, you would have to add a thin layer of mortar between the liner and soil to prevent tree roots, ground squirrels, rats, mice, gophers or chipmunks from compromising the liner. The hard molded, preformed plastic ponds become brittle from the sun’s UV rays in just a couple of years. No good!

Q What type of pond filter do you recommend?

A That cannot be answered simply because many factors are involved. Do you have an existing pond with a submersible pump or above-ground pump? What’s the volume of the pond? Do you have fish, and if so, how many? What size plumbing pipe is being used? This is so involved, I have devoted an entire chapter in my construction manual to the subject. I have an 8000 gallon pond with above-ground pump and I use a pressurized biological bead filter. It takes 2 minutes to back flush with the turn of a handle and keeps my pond crystal clear.

Q I have tons of algae hanging from the rocks in my falls and growing in clumps in my hand. What can I do to get rid of it?

A When the first Polynesians settled in Hawaii between 300 and 600 AD, they were probably very annoyed by the aggressive, wild, pervasive taro plant, just like you are your algae. They tried to chop it down, burn it, stomp it, but to no avail. It just came back, so they eat it, and still do to this day. In fact, it’s a staple like peanut butter is to some Americans. Just kidding! However, if you told me it was watercress I would suggest eating it. Many pond stores will try to sell you a very expensive algaecide to solve your problem, but all you need to do is increase the salt content of your water. Some experts recommend one pound of rock salt to every 100 gallons of water. This will not hurt your fish; in fact, it will help to produce a healthy shine coat. However, it will harm most of your plants if you apply that dose all at once. Plus the dead and decaying algae will deplete the oxygen and this will harm your fish. Apply it slowly over a week or two, and be patient. It takes longer to kill it this way, but your fish will appreciate it! This topic is also a chapter in my construction manual.

Q Should I keep salt in my pond on a regular basis?

A If you maintain a specific gravity of 1.000, your fish will be less susceptible to ulcer and fin rot. And you will keep the algae from getting out of control.

Q I am considering building a waterfall between my house and my neighbor’s against the fence. Will the sound of the falls annoy them if I let it run 24 hours a day?

A The sound generated by a waterfall is called white noise, which is very relaxing and soothing, not annoying. I have several hundred clients who leave their falls running 24/7 and none have ever had a neighbor complain. In fact, they all appreciate the fact that they did not have to spend the money to enjoy the sound.

Q How many koi fish can I put in my pond?

A The amount could range from 150 to 250 gallons per fish. If you are starting out with small 6″ to 8″ long koi, they can reach 2 feet in three years, depending on how much food and how often you feed them. They could even grow to over 3 feet long! The overcrowding of fish produces stress and a lot of waste material. It can reduce the health of the fish and result in various diseases. Also, a less crowded pond is more pleasant to look at.

Q Do I really need a filter in my pond?

A Not in every case. If your pond is small and you have any guppies or mosquito fish and adequate water plants covering 1/3 to ´ of your pond, your pond will clean itself by means of the nitrogen cycle. The biological aspects of pond chemistry is well covered in my waterfall and construction manual.

Q How long do koi fish live?

A The average life span of koi in Japan is 70 years. Some have been known to live to 100 or more, such as the legendary Hanako, alleged to have lived for over 200 years. Unlike the amazing results of the meticulous care the Japanese give their koi, American koi live a fraction of that time, usually due to neglect and lack of care or proper environment.

Q How can I protect my koi against predators?

A Unfortunately, most people that come to me are frustrated people who already have a pond or a rather poorly planned pond. If your pond is shallow, less than 3 feet, or has a shallow end, the raccoons, coyotes, cranes, egrets, etc. have easy access to your fish. You may think your fish are safe because you have a deep end for the fish to retreat to. Well, you and your fish are dead wrong. A crane will stand perfectly still for 10 to 20 minutes waiting for the koi to forget he is there. Some will regurgitate chum into the deep pond, luring the fish to the surface. Your only solution is a net, or try the crane statue, scarecrow, or high-frequency sound emitters for smaller animals. However, one of my clients watched a crane land next to his crane statue. While the scarecrow was pelting him with a stream of water, it snatched up one of their prize koi.

A critter-proof pond is over 3 feet everywhere and has a raised deck 13″ minimum over the water surrounding the pond. Raccoons cannot swim and catch fish at the same time, and they or the birds will not be able to reach the water.

Q I would like to have a koi pond but I live in Michigan and every year ponds and lakes freeze over. Will they survive?

A There are fish in those lakes you are talking about: blue gill, bass, sunfish, carp, and they all survive. And guess what? Koi are in the carp family. Koi were originally raised for food in Japan. They would grow rice in the summer and then flood the rice patties and raise koi in the winter, cutting holes in the ice to catch them for food. However, your pond must be 4 ´ to 6 feet deep to ensure the water stays about 40 o the bottom. Turn off the waterfall and bottom drain, draw water from the skimmer to keep the bottom still. Place swimming pool solar blankets over the surface. If your pond is deep enough, you can let it freeze over. However, you need to install a horse tank heater to keep a hole open in the ice to allow any ammonia gas from rotting debris on the bottom to escape. If your pond is less than 4 ´ feet deep, take the koi indoors for the winter and place them in a garage or basement tank.

Q Can I keep koi and goldfish together?

A Yes, you can. They are both cold water fish and members of the carp family. Most other cold water fish can also swim together, such as shubunkins, rudd, orfe, blue gill, mosquito fish, guppies, sunfish, bass, etc. However, only in deeper ponds where the mean temperature is 65 degrees or less on the bottom for bass, sunfish and blue gill.

Q Should my pond have a bottom drain?

A First of all, a bottom drain is essential for a healthy pond. However, if it is exposed and the suction is strong enough, turtles or fish can get stuck to it and not be able to get loose. Therefore, two drains should be hooked in series to relieve the pressure between them, just as in a swimming pool. Bottom drains draw falling waste from the fish before it reaches the bottom, keeping it clean. Areas where it does build up can be swept to the drains for easy cleaning. If you are using a submersible pump or pulling the water from a skimmer, water is not circulating properly on the bottom of the pond. That is where rotting debris is producing ammonia and other toxic gases.

Q My pond water is very clear, but my fish are dying. What is wrong?

A Drinking water might taste good, smell good, and look clear. But some of the most toxic chemicals that are known to cause cancer are colorless, odorless and tasteless. I recommend that you purchase a test kit form a pond store and check your water regularly. Nitrates, nitrite and ammonia are all detrimental to fish. Ammonia and nitrite can, at high levels, be fatal to fish. These substances are dissolved in the water and consequently are impossible to detect by the clarity of the water and they can break down the fishes’ immune system.

Q What type of filter do you recommend?

A For any pond over 1000 gallons, I recommend a pressurized biological bead filter that can be back washed. I have used Aqua Ultraviolet Ultima II filters for years. Most larger pond suppliers carry them. Their filters range from 1000 gallons to 10,000 gallons. Up-flow and gravity flow filters require regular cleaning, which is a filthy job. The filter media is packed with stinky, putrid fish waste and decaying pond scum. As you handle the filter screens, media, scrubbers, etc., you will have little white feces-eating worms that are 1/16″ long crawling on your hands and arms. Not to mention the noxious smell that burns your eyes and lungs.

It cost pennies on the dollar to make, yet dealers charge a fortune. You pay the price for the filter and in the time it takes to maintain it you pay an additional cost for your time maintaining it. With a pressurized filter, it only takes the turn of a handle for 2 to 3 minutes and the filter is clean. The waste water is not wasted either. You can water your plants with it using the discharge hose. If you can imagine, that brown, colored, stinky water is packed with nitrogen. It’s better than Miracle Grow T.M. I have used my 6000 gallon Ultima II for over eight years and it works as well now as they day it was installed. Happy, happy fish!

Q How much does an average pond cost?

A What is average? It depends on whether you are talking about a liner pond or a professional concrete and rebar pond. A typical liner pond can be 6 feet by 8 feet, and depending on who is installing it, could cost between $2,500 and $3,500. The other dimensions are pretty much proportionate. Liner ponds are susceptible to leaks from punctures, gophers, and rats, etc. Concrete ponds last for decades and on the average cost only 20% more than liner ponds.

Q My pond is green and I can not see my fish. What should I do?

A Your challenge is algae (suspended planktonic algae), which does not directly hurt the fish. However, algae gives off oxygen during the day from photosynthesis. But unfortunately, it uses up oxygen at night. In addition, it is unsightly and blocks the view of the fish. You can increase the salt content or install an ultraviolet light, which not only kills spore algae but kills the bacteria that causes the water to become murky and stinky.

Q I heard that UV light will also kill the beneficial bacteria. Is that true?

A If I say “No,” I am calling many so-called professional experts liars. So I will put it this way. All the beneficial pond bacteria such as aerobic or anaerobic bacteria, nitrobacter, etc., reside in the filter or in the decaying debris at the bottom of the pond. They aren’t floating around in the pond. Bacteria and algae containing pathogenic disease are, and as they pass through the UV light, they are eradicated.

Q Do I need a waterfall for my pond?

A With no hesitation, YES! Most definitely. First of all, waterfalls are beautiful to look at. The sound is soothing and relaxing and the water moving over rocks generates negative ions which are added to the air. As you breathe negatively charged air, it relieves stress and anxiety. Waterfalls also add extra oxygen to the pond. Waterfalls are a must!

Q I heard concrete ponds will leach alkali into the pond. Is that true?

A Yes and no. A poorly constructed concrete pond will, but only until algae starts growing on the sides. Also if the pond is constructed of 3500 psi concrete and coated with Thoro-seal T.M., it is impossible for alkali to leach out. Plus, if you use Doug Hoover’s secret mortar mix formula, the mortar in the waterfall between the rock will not leach either.

Q What is the advantage of building a waterfall using concrete and mortar?

A A major reason is that the rock will be securely mortared in place, preventing a serious accident from rocks sliding, as with a liner waterfall. Trust me, some day, some adventurous child will climb onto it. That is a lawsuit in the making.

Happy koi, peace & joy.

What You Need To Know About Aquarium Heaters

As you many have already figured out there are many things that you need to do when you set up your aquarium. Depending on which type of fish that you have in your aquarium will depend on the temperature of the water. One of the things that you will require for your aquariums is an aquarium heater. An aquarium heater is a small device that is placed on the inside of the aquarium that controls the temperature of the water. It is important that the temperature is set correctly so that your fish are kept comfortable.

Are Aquarium Heaters Important?

Did you know that most tropical fish are cold blooded animals? Being cold-blooded means that they cannot control their own body temperature so they cannot keep themselves warm. Different types of fish also have different body temperatures so when buying your fish select ones that have the same type of temperature requirements otherwise you will find that some will die.

How Do I Know What Type Of Heater To Buy?

It all depends on the size and type of your aquarium and the type of fish you plan on purchasing. There are three basic types of heaters available. There is the aquarium heater that simply hangs on the side of the tank. The hanging types of heaters are the most basic heating unit and are okay for use in smaller aquariums.

There is also a submersible type of aquarium heater. This is the type of aquarium heater that is dropped into the water completely to heat and warm the aquarium. These are more convenient and more reliable that a heater that hangs on the side of the tank because it provides more consistent heat for the fish.

The heating cable system is also used and is commonly used in aquariums with live plants. This is the best aquarium heater because it provides continuous, even heat throughout the aquarium. It cost more money, but is a better heater than the other two types of aquarium heaters.

Since most fish are cold blooded and will need heating to ensure that they stay alive and live comfortably, an aquarium heater then becomes an essential item in most home aquariums. If your unsure of the type of heater is required for your aquarium then your local pet shop or aquarium shop is the best place to ask. 84 degrees is the minimum requirement for most tropical fish so the type of fish, aquarium size and plants will determine the type of heater you will need.

Adjustable Level

Escalating demand for adjustable beds and adequate mattress

Needless to mention that adjustable beds are meant for customized adjustment. The senior family members, the patients with temporary or permanent disability, or the patients in post-surgical state may require special arrangements for their comfortable sleep as normal flat beds cannot provide them adequate comfort level required for sound sleep at night. Adjustable type beds can be adjusted according to the requirement of the user so that the user feels comfortable while sleeping or resting in it and can enjoy better level of sleep and this enjoys early recovery.

Aging is an inevitable issue which stands responsible for requirement for extra care for body as well as special concern fir over all welling being of an individual. Due to aging muscle ligaments and bone joints become fragile and often age-related disease like gout, arthritis, back pain, and stiffness of neck and waist line muscles often become part of recurring problem and it becomes difficult to lean on a normal bed in order to enjoy sound sleep and quality life during rest of the day. Adjustable beds, but for its adjustable nature can be adjusted in a way which can provide optimum using comfort for the users and hence with the help of modified postures, a user of adjustable bed can enjoy better quality of relaxation and sound sleep.

Adjustable beds are often prescribed by the doctors for the additional support of the patients suffering from injury, bone fracture, and tenderness in muscle ligaments etc. Those who are suffering from lifestyle diseases very seldom enjoy sound sleep while lying on a normal bed because it is almost impossible to enjoy relaxation on normal flat type of bed, with or without headboards and footboards. The virtue of the adjustable type of beds is with the help of adjustable mattresses, the patient can adjust the bed’s height, inclined state, and can impose curve in it thus can create better comfort for the users.

Different types of adjustable beds are available in market along with different types of mattresses; it is purely to be decided by a medical professional which type of beds will be the best option for an individual patient. Moreover, the age and the physical condition of the patient or the user need to be kept in concern first before going to purchase an adjustable bed.

Adjustable type beds are high in price than normal bed types therefore it may not be affordable by every consumer, regardless their requirement. In case the consumer can afford purchasing the same, should verify the requirement and justifiability of the support of adjustable bed for the well-being of the said patient.

Due to remarkable improvement of health care standard and health insurance advantages, mortality rate has been abruptly reduced, and thus consciousness to lead a healthy and quality life has become a standard life style for the senior members in an average. Thus the demand for the adjustable beds is escalating gradually as the comfort and relaxation is considered for all us the key to a healthy life.

Manual adjustable beds are not that expensive like computerized adjustable beds; for optimum result these beds are to be used with adjustable mattresses. These types of beds and mattresses are to be best purchased from reputable online stores where the product quality and warranty issue are assured and viable.

Hermit Crabs

The Hermit Crab Shells that are Gradually Turning White

You are already familiar with the different colors you see in most of your hermits. When a pale color came to your sight, you wondered and automatically a curious question automatically rushed into your mind like what seemed to be the cause why the hermit crab shells are turning white gradually. You may be alarmed that a possible harm is evolving in the shell that might affect the hermit crab. Of course, there are some reasons behind that occurrence. It doesn’t happen without any cause. Regarding with that matter, a colorless shell might indicate that it has lost some needed minerals like calcium and magnesium.

Both calcium and magnesium are present in the shell of a snail which is the usual shell the hermits are fond of staying. These minerals are also the culprit in shells turning white that are used by hermit crab. Hermits used to look for a snail shell to be their protective coat. They can’t live without it and they are willing to kill for a fellow hermit for the sake of the shell they really like. It doesn’t matter to them if the shell is being owned by other crabs. This is the main cause of the fight of hermits that always leads to death in one of them.

Shells that are turning white don’t have any effect on hermit crab. It is just a change in the outer color of the shell without any risk on the behalf of the crab. Hermit doesn’t stay long inside the shell for as long as there is a new shell that is being introduced in their crabitat, there’s a tendency that their attention will be diverted on the new shell. Hermits love shells very much that they cannot get it out from their system. It is already a part of their life that they cannot live without. Try to get it from them and they will become weak. It’s like a cloth that they are always wearing with them. It’s their source of strength and protection from any other harm that could damage their body.

Hermit crab that has shells that are turning white is not affected in a sense that it is just an external change in a shell. The delicate feature of a hermit crab makes them look weak. They cannot even get out from their shell in front of any person even that person is the pet owner. They tend to change their shells in the middle of the night or in the dark where there’s no one that can see them from coming out of their shell. Seeing them doing it may disturb them and that disturbance could create agitation in hermits. They are sensitive to the extent that a simple irritation causes them to become weak. So, they needed a special kind of treatment and attention.

Shells that are turning white in hermit crab that are located in beaches are just normal. The salt in sea water that rubs the shells that are nearby causes the whitening on shells. Salt has a whitening property. It is even being used in cleaning utensils to wipe out stains. That characteristic present in salt causes the shells to whiten when they are soaked in sea water.

African Cichlid

Cichlid care – how to do it?

The African cichlids are tropical fishes.Generally tropical fish need more attention than other fish species.+ There are different kinds of cichlid species available like flower horn, electric blue, green terror, electric yellow, convict, dwarf and lots more.

Cichlids like aquatic plants and rock caves in the freshwater aquarium to escape and breed. You should not keep a single cichlid as they are feel lonely and will not live in an aquarium and probably will die within days. It’s the affection between you and your lovely cichlid which matters most. The cichlids are highly territorial creature and do not want to live with other small fishes and will probably make them meal if they get a chance. The cichlid aquarium should be clean regularly and maintain properly by a cichlid expert. The more cleanly your tank the more benefit you will get.it is best not to put aquarium plants in their home because they tend to dig up underground substance. If you have a large species of cichlid like African zebra cichlid,Do not keep any large cichlid with a small tropical fish, cichlid will probably kill them.

Cichlids are very fiercely territorial which makes them more active. If you keep cichlids in a tank together just make sure there is enough room for them to claim their own space. They like to be in water temperatures of 70 degree Celsius. The protein of your fish diet should be flake food. It is fine to have mix diet sometimes even with earthworms. If you have a pair of opposite sex, the male will usually drove away the female after intercourse.
If you decide to be a cichlid breeder you need to know that there are two different types of breeders. Substrate brooder lay eggs out in the open on a surface or hidden in a hole. They will used to fan the eggs to increase oxygen supply and after they hatched, the fish will look after the young until they can eat their food. The parent fishes will still protect the young against enemies. The parents will be extremely active during this time. Another type of breeder is called a mouth brooder like dwarf cichlids who put their eggs in their mouths. Most aquarium cichlids are mouth brooder who stops looking after the young once they can swim on their own but other continue to care for them by allowing them go back into their mouths when they are afraid.Fish tank should be provided with enough room for cichlids to escape and hide.
There are many cichlid care manuals available in the market. There are a lot of cichlid info in the cichlid forum but you need to find out which one is better among these. Finally cichlids are very sensitive to their owners and their family members.

Aquarium Decor

Fish Tank Themes, Ideas for Aquarium Decor

When it comes to fish tanks, they really give your home that extra bang. Not only do they house, beautifully tropical fish, but they serve as a decoration all on their own. However, you can use the inside of your tank to express your personal style and design as well. No matter what size fish tank you have, the possibilities are endless. Here are some ideas for themes and visually pleasing aquarium décor.

Natural Themes

Fish tanks look awesome when they are filled with natural stones, rocks, and a floor full of seaweed. Salt water fish tanks usually have live corals and living plants sustained within the environment. However, fresh water tanks could suffer from parasites and germ contaminations if they house real wood or rock formations. Instead, you can get word or gravel replicas for a more natural look. Strategically place your reefs and rocks giving your fish room to hide, to actively swim, and giving your aquarium an overall natural look.

Pirate Decor

You may think of setting some pirate chests and ships in your tank for a more lively scene. Deeper blues and purples are great for the bottom gravel in a classic pirate themed tank. Add some mall plants around a wrecked ship  and get some skull ornaments or perhaps some buried treasure to add a little zest to your fish tank.

Architectural Theme

This may be for a little bit of a more expensive setting, say an upper class living room or working den. You can create a famous architectural setting with props such as the Great Wall of China, Egyptian Ruins, Stonehenge pieces, or Asian or Indian inspired structions. These types of architectural pieces add more depth and interest to your tank. Keep the theme consistent throughout the entire tank and add a backdrop as well as a forground.

Cartoon Décor

When decorating your fish tank you may also think of cartoon characters that would suit your aquarium well. Themes like Sponge Bob Square pants and The Little Mermaid are increasingly popular choices. Try to match everything accordingly. For example if you go with a Sponge Bob theme you might want to add some bright yellow coral and other characters from the show. This is a great idea for children’s rooms.

Whatever you decide, make sure your aquarium is interesting, fun to look at, and has an underwater theme that is out of this world! Click here for cheap cheap fish tanks at one of the most trusted online sources on the web, decorate accordingly.

Part Calcium

WHAT ARE THE REAL CORAL CALCIUM BENEFITS

Coral calcium is derived from the living coral reefs that are present at several places. The calcium has been eroded away by some agent off the reefs or they have simply fallen off. This coral calcium is a boon to human health. They keep humans off several diseases and protect the body marvelously.
